How to extract HijackThis to its own, permanent folder - Using WinRar


Using WinRar

Open WinRar and click "Open Archive" icon on the toolbar, browse to where you have downloaded HijackThis.zip file and open the archive.

1. Select HijackThis.exe

2. Click open the "Extract To" icon on the toolbar.

Browse to "Programs Folder". WinRar will create a new folder if it does not exist, but it needs the path to be entered manually.

3. Add "\HijackThis" immediately after ":\Program Files" in the address bar, so that it looks like this. "X:\Program Files\HijackThis", your chosen drive letter will appear instead of "X".

4.

Click "OK" to finish extraction.
