Using Windows XP

If you don't have any other Zip utility installed, Windows XP provides a rudimentary tool to deal with Zip and CAB files.

Open Windows Explorer and browse to where you have downloaded the HijackThis.zip file. Double click to open it.

Click "Extract all files" under "Folder Tasks" in the left pane to open the extraction wizard.

Click "Next" in the Wizard.

Click the "Browse" button and browse to your "Program Files" folder. Then, click "Make New Folder" and create a folder named "HijackThis". Click "OK".
