Wi-Fi Security, Beware the perils of being always on
We truly are a connected society now. There are probably only a few areas of the wild moors and woods that are out of reach. It means, though, that there is an ever-present risk of security breaches. Access your email over an unencrypted wireless network and others can read it; have an always-on GPRS connection and thereís a chance that others can discover your IP address and access it Ė and though Iím sure my PDA must have some form of firewall in place, Iím not sure Iíve ever read any details of its behaviour, strength or even testing.
