Symantec AV Corporate Edition, the Secret Anti-Rootkit Tool?
A reader tells me that back in August Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition 10's "Tamper Protection" feature detected what, in retrospect, was the rootkit in the First 4 Internet DRM software from a Sony CD. It deleted the rootkit, resulting in the loss of the CD drive, and the reader was able to figure out how to get the drive back. Only now does it seem an important event.
