Your clipboard is exposed
Did you know that if you browse a malicious website using Internet Explorer, the website can obtain the contents of your clipboard?
To see this at work, do the following:
1. Open Notepad, type something in it, select your text and press CTRL+C to copy it to your clipboard.
2. Now go to this web pageand you’ll see the contents of your clipboard displayed!
Thats pretty disconcerting, isnt it? Imagine for example that you were just working on your resume and you cut and pasted some confidential information like your credit card number or social security number, and then for a break you browse the web and some malicious site obtains this information…eek!
