This Symbian malware affects mobile devices running the Symbian operating system with the Series 60 Platform user interface....This Symbian malware disguises itself as a normal InstantSiS application, a phone utility for transferring or sharing software between mobile devices. When the user attempts to transfer files, however, this Symbian malware locks the mobile device’s multimedia card and protects it with a password. The said routine renders the multimedia card inaccessible and useless. To restore the multimedia card, it may be necessary to unlock it using a computer or perform a hard format.
