Windows Servers Dominating, Corporate America Still Standing, Film At 11
With the news that Windows Servers are now outselling UNIX servers it's time to reflect on attitudes of years ago, including those related to security. It's not that long ago that the negative presumptions about Windows security and stability were so widespread that I'm sure any IT manager who suggested committing a serious corporate asset to a Windows-based server would have some explaining to do.
Now I find that responsible people appreciate that Windows servers can be made very secure, if you administer them well, and UNIX servers made insecure, if you administer them badly.
