Defeating Hardware Keyloggers
I am frequently asked in email how to defeat hardware-based keyloggers on Windows machines. I had a partial response typed up, and then I found a page that explains this perfectly.
Over on combobulate.com there's a great article on using the on-screen keyboard features of several operating systems. By using the on-screen keyboard, no keys on the keyboard are used!
Unfortunately, this method does not typically protect against software keyloggers, because most SK's tap the keyboard dll (which the osk uses). Defeating Hardware Keyloggers
