Security Google style

A blogger yesterday (rather irresponsibly) published details about a security vulnerability in Gmail. The service would execute javascript code that was pasted into an email message. A mere three hours later, Google had closed the vulnerability and update its service.

The ability to centrally patch an application is just one more benefit of a hosted application. And in the process itís a huge advantage for end users who in most cases are just too lazy to apply patches. Silicon Valley Sleuth: Security Google style
