...the whole issue is one of how much you trust Microsoft. The Chinese, who don't trust them at all, have no intention of encrypting state secrets using American software. They have been hard at work developing an encryption chip of their own over the last few years, a chip that was developed by Lenovo and has been approved by the Chinese government. The security module went into production last year and is currently installed in many Lenovo PCs sold in the Chinese market.
