Keeping Your Data Safe in a Shared Home User Environment
Many home users do not have multiple computers available. Most homes only have one computer and it is often shared by everyone in the house. The problem with this situation is that it can become problematic when inexperienced users accidentally make setting changes or delete or damage files.
Children are often the main offenders. Young children can be 'click happy' and tend to click here and there without really understanding what they are doing. Children think computers are just big toys that big people get to play on. It is not uncommon for kids to delete files, create weird shortcuts, rename files to weird names like "xjwduipcdwejkk," etc. Security Reference Guide > Keeping Your Data Safe in a Shared Home User Environment
