Top 10 malware for April
Anti virus software vendor, Sophos has revealed the top 10 malware threats across the globe in April. The report, compiled from Sophos's monitoring stations, reveals NetskyP, which is two years old, has returned to the top of the virus chart, replacing ZafiB -first detected almost two years ago as the number one threat.
According to Sophos, 86 percent of threats during April were spyware. Hackers used this software to download malicious code, spy on users, steal information and gain unauthorised access to computers.
However, email viruses and worms continued to decline as a proportion of all malware, Sophos said. Top 10 malware for April - Security - www.crn.com.au
