Is a secure Windows worth having?

LAST WEEK saw Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, ever a modest and reserved man, talking up the security benefits of the forthcoming Vista operating system...he was talking about a new version Windows may have elicited a wry smile, or had you rolling around on the floor laughing your ass off, depending on your manners.

Ballmer went so far as to say that Vista’s level of security could bring an end to traditional attacks by worms and viruses. In one quote, he claimed: "Subject to the fact that there might still be a small amount of human error, we will have eliminated the known attack vectors that people use against us today." Is a secure Windows worth having?
