Hackers have a new target in mobile phones, the mini computers of today. With mobile phone manufacturers increasingly migrating towards a standardised operating system platform and the growing popularity of smart phones, a new kind of security threat is beginning to raise its ugly head on cellphones.
However, anti-virus companies and mobile phone makers are taking up arms against hackers and propagators of mobile malware. Companies like Trend Micro, Symantec and RSA Security are offering anti-virus and malware solutions to safeguard mobile phones. They are tying up with phone manufacturers as well to provide integrated solutions.
