Protect your wireless network at all times
If you have a wireless network connection at home, it needs to be protected. Without protection, someone nearby using a wireless ready computer may be able to connect to your network.
Hackers may access personal information on your network PCs. Intruders may use your network to send out spam or commit computer-related crimes. The activity can be traced back to you.
To help consumers protect their wireless networks, the FTC has created www.OnGuardOnline.gov/wireless. The site offers protection tips and includes video tutorials on how to perform security measures. Northwest Indiana News: nwitimes.com
