Banks work on hooking 'phishers'
"We've discovered a problem with your account," warns an email claiming to come from your bank. "We need you to verify your information."
Almost everybody with email has received a message like this from a con artist trying to access a bank account. Most people don't fall for them, but enough take the bait to make "phishing" a lucrative criminal enterprise. The cons keep getting sneakier, at a high cost to banks, which compensate customers for money illegally taken from their accounts. Banks work on hooking 'phishers'
