Hunting Spyware in Your PC: Part 2
Microsoft has been blamed over the years for allowing unwanted intrusions because security wasn't its primary concern when creating and producing its software. Starting from the Service Pack 2 for Windows XP, the Redmond company seems to have changed the route, at least in part.
A new generation of applications are about to invade the market, including Windows Vista, the latest Operating System, with a particular focus on security. One of the applications rumored to be included is Windows Defender, a free anti-spyware already available for download as a free stand-alone program - provided your OS is "genuine," as Microsoft says.
