Precision phishing on the rise
If you think that email message from your local community bank seems genuine, you had better think again. Gangs of online criminals are masterminding ever smaller and more targeted attacks designed to convince you to hand over your security details or download malware such as viruses and trojans.
Peter Cassidy, co founder of the US Anti Phishing Working Group, presented these findings to the Australian Information Security Summit on Thursday.
