CA: Identity theft means cash in your pocket
Computer Associates has a new plan to win over customers to its security software offer them a warranty. The company has partnered with Warranty Corporation of America (WaCA) to offer cash benefits if users of its software are victims of identity theft or virus infestations.
There is, of course, some fine print. Users who want the identity theft coverage need to both install and register their copies of WaCA's Mobile Lifeline (included). No registration, no coverage. Those who do register receive up to $5,000 in the event of identity theft. The cash covers lost wages, legal fees, and fixing credit reports. CA: Identity theft means cash in your pocket
