Spam crooks have caught on — they’re just phishing for trouble

Gee. No wonder those fake eBay e-mails have petered out. The guy behind the eBay “phishing” scam has been caught and convicted. David Levi of Lytham, England, recently drew a four-year jail sentence for heading up a phishing fraud scheme by which he filched eBay users’ identities and bank information. The scam was brilliant while it lasted... even the judge in Levi’s case had to give it credit.
