THEY may not have the technology resources of their larger competitors, but small and medium companies face security risks that are just as serious.....According to Delaney, who works with a range of small businesses, the biggest threats they face are spyware, viruses and unauthorised access to their networks.
"Spyware in particular is a growing problem and one that can be very costly to a business," he says.
Spyware code can be picked up simply by users visiting certain websites, and does not require attachments to be opened or programs to be run.
