Microsoft"s Chief Security and Privacy Advisor, outlines strategy
SDA: Out of emerging security threats such as Trojans, worms, etc., which of these does Microsoft consider the greatest threat to enterprise security?
KMC: Our view is not to take these threats as separate elements, as each forms part of the “toolbox” of cyber criminals today. Addressing one without giving adequate attention and focus to the other could quickly create a weak link for the perpetrator to gain advantage and make closer advancement to the organisation or personal information assets. In addition, focusing only on the technology elements alone would be an insufficient strategy. The processes involved, IT lifecycle stages as well as people undertaking various roles and responsibilities are all crucial to the overall effectiveness of addressing the challenges involved.
