I have recently had the trojan malware/spyware program MS Removal Tool downloaded onto my computer and I am having quite a bit of trouble getting rid of it. On regular start up mode, it won’t let me open any programs or the Symantec Endpoint Protection antivirus software that I have. It also won’t let me onto the internet. Then when I use safe mode or safe mode with networking, the Symantec Endpoint Protection doesn’t detect any problems when it scans the computer. I’m also not able to get onto the internet here either. Somebody please help!!!

Excuse my ignorance but where do I find the registry file described in the win32\fakerean fix? I can’t find any file in any windows dir that I can right click and have any option to save as. Help please. I’m fairly handy but this is more than I have done on my own. Thanks in advance.
Hey I used your advice to get rid of the Win 7 fake anti-virus. But now my security won’t turn my firewall on. All the other signs of the virus are gone. My McAfee security keeps telling me that my firewall is off and when i click enable it tells me its on then just a few seconds later it tells me its off. Somebody please help.
Computer has trojan windows 7 internet security, will not run chrome or internet or firefox not even safari. so it was registerd as Crawler in controll panel it was the last 1 installed date installed was 12/17/11. we tryed uninstallingit but it lauches the security. its running as backround backup or restore isnt avaliable so fix it by restoring to factory settings with its disc it shud go back to norma this virus piggy backs on MSN.com and many other websites once clicked on it will install itself. Close your browser if u ever see that disconnect it from the internett n run norton or mcaffe once cleaned restart n connect again PCW charges 80 bucks or more to fix
I recently went through a malware nightmare, trying to clean my mate’s computer, which went intensively from the 1st week of April until yesterday,
May 26, when I finally gave up. It exhausted the patience of an online expert
trying to help me (and mine, as well, but I couldn’t afford to give up). Everything tried from the Rescue websites fell short. No suggested methods could persuade a malware or antiVirus program to download, update & run.
I’m no expert, even now, but there seems to be some new twists in bugs & rootkits and all without solution. We’re getting her another computer we can’t afford but we’re beaten.
Now, this morning, as I scanned my own computer with Malwarebytes, it detected at least 2 targets & was still scanning when it suddenly had to shut down. The scan was never completed & a new scan found no problems. Is there a virus that shuts off a scan then hides like a roach when the kitchen light comes on?
Is this sort of thing happening to others?
